Blue Cloud's US subsidiary, Global Impx, has won a USD 15.5 million AI infrastructure services order from IBM Cloud. The work is being delivered in New Jersey.
The contract covers AI infrastructure design, deployment and support under a signed statement of work issued through an existing master services agreement between IBM Cloud and Global Impx, known as GIX. Work has already started, with payments tied to five milestones from project kick-off to production go-live.
GIX is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hyderabad-headquartered technology group. The order came within three months of Global Impx joining the group, marking an early commercial return from the acquisition.
The assignment covers the design, build, security, monitoring and support of an AI infrastructure environment for model training and inference. It includes assessment of workloads and existing systems, architecture and detailed design, and the build-out of GPU compute clusters, storage, networking, and AI and machine-learning platforms.
The project also includes Kubernetes-based orchestration, identity and access controls, network segmentation, encryption, backup and disaster recovery measures. The final phase covers performance testing, documentation, knowledge transfer, production handover, and a stabilisation and support period.
Defined service levels include infrastructure and GPU availability of at least 99.5 per cent. Critical alerts must be issued within 15 minutes, and responses to critical incidents must begin within 30 minutes.
US market
The agreement adds to Blue Cloud's push in the US, which it identifies as its largest market. The company provides AI-related services and infrastructure, as well as cybersecurity, telecom and healthcare technology, through operations in the US, UK and India, alongside activity in several other countries.
Blue Cloud said consolidated revenue for the latest financial year reached ₹1,002 crore. The latest order, valued at about ₹147 crore, is significant against that base and highlights the scale of work the company is pursuing through its US subsidiary.
The project is focused on infrastructure for enterprise AI workloads, an area that has grown in commercial importance as companies shift from pilot projects to production systems. That transition typically requires computing clusters built around graphics processing units, along with software orchestration, security controls and operational support.
IBM Cloud was named as the client in the statement of work. No further commercial terms were disclosed beyond the fixed-fee value, milestone structure and delivery location in New Jersey.

Tejesh Kumar Kodali commented on the award after the contract was announced.
"AI is moving out of the lab and into production, and that move runs on infrastructure. Winning this mandate from IBM Cloud within three months of GIX joining Blue Cloud shows that our US platform can compete for and deliver the most demanding AI infrastructure work. This is the high-value, repeatable business we set out to build when we brought GIX into the group," said Tejesh Kumar Kodali, Group Chairman, Blue Cloud.
Blue Cloud said its teams have already mobilised for delivery. It described the work as an end-to-end assignment covering both implementation and ongoing support through the initial operating phase.
Vinod Babu Bollikonda also outlined the company's delivery targets for the engagement.
