Today

Sinch has been recognised as a Tier 1 vendor in the ROCCO Rich Communication Services (RCS) Messaging Market Impact Report 2024, following direct feedback from mobile operators in 64 countries.

The annual ROCCO report is based on insights from 92 mobile operators worldwide and benchmarks vendors across more than 30 key performance indicators, such as reliability, technical innovation, customer support, quality of service, and vendor responsiveness.

The recognition underlines the significant role RCS is playing for mobile operators as they adjust their customer engagement strategies in the shift from traditional messaging channels like SMS to more advanced RCS platforms. The report highlights how vendors are enabling this transition, and what operators require from their partners.

Francois Boshoff, Vice President and Head of Product Management at Sinch, said: "Sinch is delighted to be recognized as a Tier 1 RCS vendor by ROCCO and the global mobile operator community. We're proud to support mobile operators at every stage, from sending their own RCS customer messages to launching, operating, securing and monetizing RCS for Business with our RCS Business Enablement Service. Sinch's RCS solutions – including applications, APIs, and platform integrations, as well as our RCS Business Enablement service for mobile operators to successfully launch RCS for Business provides all the tools and infrastructure to drive RCS adoption and revenue growth for all businesses."

Sinch's services to operators go beyond enablement, as companies make use of its offerings to power branded, safe, and engaging customer communications. This approach is intended to help operators foster stronger relationships with subscribers through modern messaging techniques.

Antonio Rodríguez, Chief Research Officer at ROCCO, commented on the evolution of RCS as a significant channel for operators and brands. He stated: "RCS is evolving into a critical channel for mobile operators and brands looking to create richer, more secure customer interactions. Mobile Operators consistently cited Sinch for its technical strength, proactive support, and deep understanding of what it takes to make RCS work at scale. Sinch continues to stand out as a trusted partner in this next chapter of messaging."

The ROCCO report also includes vendor interviews and assesses the future role of RCS in the broader digital economy. According to the analysis, Sinch was noted for assisting operators to scale and monetise their RCS services, with a particular focus on reliable delivery, flexible enterprise integration, and measurable levels of engagement.

Sinch's infrastructure is used by mobile operators and enterprises to provide customer communication services that feature rich media, suggested replies, carousels, secure vendor verification, and automation driven by artificial intelligence. These features aim to create seamless, app-like experiences within messaging applications.

Sinch has developed direct operator connections and maintains a presence in over 60 countries. The company states that this network allows it to help mobile operators evolve their messaging strategies to accommodate emerging channels like RCS.

Recent industry recognition for Sinch includes awards for partnership and leadership in customer experience technology. The company has previously received acknowledgements from Adobe, Omdia, Gartner, Juniper Research, and IDC.
