Winsted appoints Quint Andrae to drive public safety focus

Wed, 4th Jun 2025

Winsted has appointed Quint Andrae as Senior Vertical Market Manager for Public Safety as the company signals an increased focus on the public safety sector.

Andrae, who has more than three decades of experience in the industry, previously worked at Watson Consoles, where he held senior roles spanning enterprise solutions, sales and product design. His expertise includes console design, operator-centric control room layouts and public safety operations.

In his new position at Winsted, Andrae will be responsible for building relationships with Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), 911 centres, Real-Time Crime Centres (RTCC), and public safety agencies. His role will ensure that Winsted's solutions continue to address the evolving needs of emergency response teams.

Andrae's focus will also include outreach to specifiers, operators and systems integrators. His objective will be to promote environments that are thoughtfully designed to enhance operator productivity, support ergonomic health and improve technology integration in control rooms.

The company is preparing to launch a product line specifically for public safety control rooms. Winsted's upcoming debuts will take place at an industry event in Long Beach, California, where the new solutions tailored for public safety environments will be introduced.

"Bringing Quint onboard reflects our ongoing investment in public safety. His knowledge of dispatch center workflows, ergonomic design, and how technology supports fast, informed decisions will play a crucial role as we introduce new offerings tailored specifically for this market," Tracy Crocker, Chief Executive Officer of Winsted, commented on the appointment.

"I've dedicated my career to helping organizations design control rooms that support peak performance. Winsted is taking that commitment even further, investing in the people, the solutions, and the innovation needed to make public safety operations smarter and more productive," Andrae commented on his new role.

Winsted's expanded commitment to the public safety market comes as organisations increasingly seek environments that support 24/7 mission-critical activities. The firm's focus remains on operator-centric solutions featuring ergonomic design and seamless technology integration, intended to support both operator welfare and operational efficiency.

Andrae's appointment underscores Winsted's intent to align its technical furniture and control room offerings with the distinct requirements of public safety agencies, as the sector continues to adapt to new operational and technological challenges.
